Well I just picked my ring up again! I am still having a hard time loving the pave'' around the halo and I am wondering if any of you pave'' lovers/proffessionals can tell me if this looks normal, or if it looks pitted and alittle chewed up. I know it is hard to tell from these oics but is the best I could do. Thanks,
Lisa

and one more. I know these aren''t magnified enough, and it actually look okay to me in the pics.
Fay, what I mean by chewed up is the lower edge , the metal is a bit wavey and almost looks like there are little dents in it. I know that they pull metal around to secure the pave'' but it looks like they did that after they did the milgraining. The pittingis like little black "holes" in between the diamonds.
Thanks,
Lisa

I can''t see the dents you mention in the picture. Sometimes when millgrain is simulated by casting instead of cut the result is a wavy edge with uneven dents. I hope this is not what you are talking about

Yes I think it was cast and yes it does look like the jewler was agressive with his tools!!! Dare I say shody! Fay, I absolutely agree that I need to love it! I took it back a week and a half ago because there were some things I didn''t like and they actually asked me what happened to it, I explained that is how it was when I picked it it hence the reason I was bringing it back. I still don''t like the look of the pave on the halo. The pave'' on the shank is perfect which makes it worse because I know the are capable of doing better. I am nearing the end of my strings, It cost me $30 to go there and I have been there more than too many times, I think nearing 10. So if you think about it I could have had a ring that cost $300 more $$ at this point.
