I had a similar thread for my first (and so far only) Springsteen concert, and today i got a ticket to see Paul on his upcoming tour! Any other Paul/Beatles fans here? Unfortunately the tour doesn't come where I'm living, so I'll be plane and hotel-ing it, but I'm very excited.

Being *ahem* of a certain age, I remember Beatlemania, although I was a little young for the band while they were together. In my teens we had the red and blue albums on 8-track players - anyone remember those? - and played them constantly. They are, without much exaggeration, the soundtrack of my life, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to see him!

Congratulations on scoring a ticket to see Sir Paul. When I was nine years old I was crushing so hard on Sir Paul that I thought my heart would explode and he broke it when he hooked up with Jane Asher. Pre-pubescent one-sided love affairs are soooo hard :mrgreen2:

Look at my profile pic...that's a BASS I'm holding.......playing?
Paul changed the world for so many of us.
I just saw Ringo a few weeks back in NYC.....
I'm DYING to see Paul.....probably have to mortgage the house to get a decent seat- but it's worth it......

He was always my favorite Beatle, although at different times of my life I've increased my appreciation of the others. But I have a bossy older sister who loved John, and I think it reflects our dynamic!

But you're playing it right-handed! Never mind, I won't tell Paul...

This is so fantastic!
I never got to see the Beatles, but I remember when they came to Forest Hills, NY in 1964: I lived there then, but was too young to ask my parents about that. They were the band I begged to see on the Ed Sullivan show! Times were different then lol.

But, my family owned a business in NYC, and every year, my grandfather would bring me boxes of 45s that didn't make it into the tabletop and restaurant jukeboxes. I'd spend hours going through them, most of them were terrible. But in 1965, I struck gold with "Help." Back then, we needed plastic discs to play 45s, and a portable stereo player was the ultimate gift. I was fortunate, my parents bought me one.

Have the best time!

Going off on a tangent here but.....
I AM a southpaw- left handed.
But if you think about it, when you play guitar or bass "right handed", your left hand does so much of the really accurate work.....

HI:

Paul touring at 83. WWOW! You've got a ticket to ride.....enjoy!!

cheers--Sharon

I saw Sir Paul in Boston probably about 20 years ago. When the band took a break, he stayed on stage and played acoustic guitar. He never took a break for himself. It was a great concert. Enjoy and come back and report!
