OK, I know that first off I need ideal scope images etc. However, at this point I am trying to decide on what I have Whiteflash bring in. Below are two options I am looking at and just want people impressions based on cert data; I know it is not the best way to go but I live in Australia and so going into the store is not possible :wink2:

will the difference in colour be off set by the difference in HCA.

Stone 1: Scores an HCA 2.9

Stone 2: Scores an HCA 1.3

Color and the HCA have little to do with each other other than well cut stones are going to look pretty white face up. But since AGS can be a little soft on color anyway, I would consider it no real compromise to buy a GIA H (assuming that was what the second stone was because I couldn't see the whole report). Plus the GIA stone has med blue fluorescence which may boost color a little, too. And it is VVS and better HCA score. All of that adds up to my preference for the GIA stone #2. However, I'd want to see the idealscope images on it before making a commitment.

Hello Yes it is GIA. However symmetry is only very good, is that a bad thing?

Very good symetry is not bad. You won't be able to tell very good from excellent anyway. AGS withholds it's AGS0 grading if the stone doesn't also have ideal polish AND symetry, but GIA will still give an excellent cut grade for stones with very good polish and or symetry.
