Oval Halo engagement ring

My fiancé proposed to me with this absolutely beautiful ring, in my favorite diamond cut--oval!
Specs are as follows: 73 carat, J color, Vs2 clarity, ex/ex/ex oval center diamond. The setting consist of .32 very good cut G-H vs1-vs2 diamonds.

The halo actually widens the shape of the diamond IMO. The setting is made to fit .5-1 carat center stone and the diamond just barely sits on top of the halo in the prong setting, so it's no shapped around the diamond itself. Does that make sense? The diamond itself is more elongated at 1.395. I also agree the shape is lovely. Occasionally, from across the room it gets mistaken for a round, until the person looks directly at my hand.
