First-time buyer here looking for advice on a loose diamond with an oval shape.
Any thoughts on the three diamonds from this link?
https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...Shape=round&DiamondID=3085570,3729917,2818129

My untrained eye is having difficulty determining any differences with the oval diamonds (I find it easier to see inclusions etc with the traditional round cut ones).

Open to other suggestions in a similar price range.
I would like to make my purchase from James Allen, however.

Thanks in advance!

The D VS1 (#2) has the best faceting pattern to my eye. None should have problematic inclusions.

The D VS1 is on hold (https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/1.01-carat-d-color-vs1-clarity-sku-3085570). Unfortunately I am told that they do not have ASET images available for this diamond...
I am curious to know what you guys think about these black marks on the girdle of the diamond. Would they be visible to the naked eye?

Also, how would the above diamond compare to something like this? https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/1.01-carat-d-color-vs1-clarity-sku-3327098
They seem to have similar color and clarity, so I am not sure why there is a difference in price.

Those tiny black marks are not going to be visible, remember the videos are magnified 10x and I still prefer the original choice over the one because those black areas worry me. The stone isn't as well cut as the first

One has fluorescence and the other does not.

Thanks this has been very helpful! One final comparison... This diamond (https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/1.01-carat-d-color-vvs2-clarity-sku-3760095) looks considerably brighter and more shiny. Is it worth the additional price over the D VS1 that seems to be the current front-runner?

This one is not a bad choice but as far as it looking brighter JA does not always have consistent lighting. It may just come down to you needing to see the stones in person or at least getting an ASET imagine on them so we can determine if there is a lot of light leakage. The one thing I like about this one is that is will face up larger than the first one. Can JA provide you with the ASETs on either one? Both preferably

ASET was unavailable for the D VS1, and it has been requested for the D VVS2

I am waiting for someone else to comment because I wouldn’t agree but other people can read an ASET better than myself. It’s still a nice stone but the tips worry me
