Ouros five stone diamond ring

Hi everyone! I just got my custom 5 stone lab diamond band from Ouros today.. and I am in hardcore LOVE with it.. it actually makes me feel love for my set from Vrai, which I had been previously seriously disappointed with the center stone’s tint and sparkle.

Vijay was quick to respond.. got me updated cads that day.. kept me updated and also allowed time to tweak things. It was a great experience that I was truly so nervous about considering Vrai is this big company sourcing diamonds through diamond foundry and Ouros is smaller and less established obviously. I didn’t ask for my 5 stone to be certified, but the stones exceed the visual quality of my main ering.. again.. really happy.. it’s stamped 950 and feels very sturdy..

it’s the brown tint to the stone.. it’s an H color ideal 2.38ct VS2.. I was going to wait for Vrai to have a G color or above in a MRB and exchange it in the 90 days because I really didn’t care for the tint.. but they couldn’t find one so I decided I ended up liking it enough to keep it and not wanting to return it.. now if I could find a better but equal size in what I would pay for a Vrai upgrade (roughly $4500) I’d just get a new stone and hopefully find a vendor who could reset the new stone in the Vrai setting.. if you don’t mind the tint on occasion they’re super affordable and the settings are gorgeous. Their inventory is just lacking higher colored stones.

I can't wait to see your ring! What size stones are in a 3mm (I'm too lazy to look this up)? Is it a custom piece or is there an Etsy listing for this? What metal, and curious the price if you're willing to share?

I'm currently considering an eternity band and trying to decide between mmd and mined. Since a lot of the cost with smaller stones will just be the setting, wasn't sure how much savings there are to be had going mmd.

I asked for it to be made in white gold & it's only 95% eternity as I wanted a little bit of gold in case it needs sized in the future. It was actually more expensive to remove a few diamonds than have it be a full eternity

I believe 3mm is about .1 carat each and I have 4.5 size finger, but I haven't done the math for the TCW. I think it'll be between 1.5 & 2, but honestly I'm just guessing lol

Laura Zacheus, did you find the sizing accurate? Also, are you happy with your prongs? They look good as far as I can see from your pics but one of his reviews posted a pic where it looked like they were inconsistent and not in line with each other.

@Decision_Decisions I'm sure I'll be making a post once mine gets here, it'll be a bit though as I just went with standard shipping.

@Laura Zacheus the most recent sunlight pics are so beautiful and the craftsmanship looks great. Did you have to adjust a lot on the CADs? This is my first custom ring and am a little nervous about it, as I want to make sure my prongs look good.
Also if you do get a MRB from him can you let me know? I'm looking to get an oval for a 3 stone ring and was looking at vrai but super nervous about the tint since ovals show more color.

Stunning! I have had three experiences from Vrai. 1st: got a lab diamond 5 stone prong set necklace. Spectacular! I lost it. 2nd: replaced it because I loved it. The stones were very brown. Hated it and sent it back. 3rd: bought the Cuban link yg bracelet. Gorgeous! The chain broke randomly in the first week. Back it went.

@Laura Zacheus I'm having a hard time resisting Vrai's prices but I'm also worried about the tint. What will you do with your Vrai stone? Will Vrai still let you return it?

the sizing was accurate.. my set is 7.5 so I went up to 7.75 for the five stone so it wasn’t too tight with all three.. the prongs look good to be.. they’re less pointy then I would originally prefer but I believe I would have needed to have each stone with four prongs to achieve the same daintiness of my vrai.. I’ve looked at the prongs under a 10x Loupe and they look straight to me.. just pointy enough to be claw..

I only had to redo the CAD once.. to add claw prongs and lower the mm of the metal the stones are set in from 3.5 to 3.25mm.. I wanted it as low set as possible.. it’s sturdy for sure but the band connecting to the setting is more dainty then most 5 stones I’ve seen and I really like that.

if you notice Vrai mostly posts ads in yellow or rose gold.. fewer are in white gold or platinum because I think it’s harder to mask the tint in the whiter metals. But I really wanted platinum.. if you’re setting it it a yellow or rose gold it might not matter as much.. also you can ask them to find you a stone(s) with no tint right off the bat.. you just might be waiting.. although I haven’t searched their other shapes so they might carry g color or higher..
