Thanks, ladies.

It''s very nice to have a home. It''s funny how quickly a house becomes a home. We''ve been here just over 4 months, and it felt like home from the time we first moved in, and now I can''t imagine driving anywhere else but here after work.

I love being able to paint what I want to paint, pull out the plants I don''t like, replace them with new ones. It was such an awesome feeling that first time I rolled paint onto a wall. All those years of living in dorms, or in apartments, or at home with the parents and never being able to have a wall that wasn''t white! And now, we don''t have a single one that is!

Sweet happiness!!

fisher, your new home is gorgeous! I can''t believe you have a closet full of baby clothes. Lots of baby dust to you! I can''t wait until you become a mom and hope it happens soon.

Haha. It''s not something I really reveal to many people, you know. I figure more people on this forum know the true extent of our desire for a child more than anywhere else. I talk about it enough, anyway. Besides, we believe that you live by faith, and by faith we know one day there will be a baby in our arms. So, why not be prepared to clothe the little one?

Plus, it''s fun. I like to shop and you can get really great deals on clearance items. Our baby will be looking cute some day (even if he''s wearing a sweater suit in July, he''ll be cute!!). My new "fix" is in searching for books for the baby. I firmly believe that the book reading my parents bathed me in as a child led to my love of learning and reading and knowledge today. I can''t wait to read to my pregnant belly!! Paul''s not so sure if he''ll be up to reading to anything "inside the bump," though.

Ah, to each his own.

Thanks for the compliments! We feel so blessed and are so happy here. It''s great!!

Fisher, your house is too cute! I''m loving the architectural details like chair railing and crown, but LOVE the exterior! I''m sure it looks gorgeous with leaves on the trees!

Fisher, your home is beautiful! I remember falling in love when you first posted pics, but I love what you''ve done with it - especially the green in the kitchen!

Thanks, everyone. The green kitchen is by far my favorite so far. I love the new hardware, too. (And I did it all by myself while Paul watched me take down cabinet doors saying I could never get them back up right. Yeah right. They''re good as new, only not with gold hinges anymore!).

I''m trying to decide what color to paint the guest room (which is currently pretty empty... has a couple of shelves set up, but that''s about it. I had wanted to do a soft violet/mauve color, but Paul thinks that''s too feminine. Not that we''ll have male guests over often, but whatever.

The room is also doubling as my craft/scrapbook/writing room, so it''s important to me that it has a calm, but creative feel.

I would post a picture of it, but it''s literally an empty room with craft supplies in the closet and a window on one end. The walls are currently the same color as what will be our baby''s room (a color Paul affectionately calls baby butt pink). Bland. Oh, and there is border along the top. Guess what of? Old men golfers. Yeah, with pink walls. Makes you wonder what the room was used for (or by whom) with the previous owners.

Painting that room will likely be my next project, but I''m not really all that motivated, since I can''t get a color scheme going in my head.

All the color swatches I''ve seen in stores end up being too pinkish or too purply to suit me. I think that means I don''t like the color I''m thinking I like as much as I think I like it. Something like that.

This is something else I was really excited about; the green in the calendar matches the walls perfectly. Better enjoy it the next few months, since it was likely just a one time fluke!!

I can''t find a picture we''ve taken of the house since the leaves came out. Crazy. This picture was taken in February when we first saw the house.

We closed and moved in on May 16.

Hmm... I need to find a better picture.

Here''s the house (just imagine the trees with leaves and an American flag flying high at the porch steps).

I love your house! It is homey, and friendly, and I can just see kids playing in the yard, and you on a porch swing!

Aww, thanks!

I hope there are some (or at least one) little ones playing around here soon!

Fisher -- your house looks great! I love the bright blue bathroom btw :)
