Is orange flash an indicator of fracture filling in diamonds?

Don''t think so. I am assuming you are see part of the light spectrum from dispersion?

A coloured flash can be yes, a neon purple or coloured flash seen under a microscope is a sign of fracture filling.

Lorelei, just curious -- is this something you can see with the naked eye? A telling flash that reveals a diamond has been fracture filled?

I think you need a scope or loupe to see this Gleam.

Here are some pics from goodoldgold of the flash effect in a clarity enhanced diamond.

Orange pavilion flash is associated with synthetic cubic zirconia (CZ) - best seen in darkfield or when backlit. Rarer blue/orange pavilion flash is associated with gadolinium gallium garnet (GGG).
