I''m going for something modern, and I like that the diamond is suspended and visible from avery side. The stone size is 1.8 carat.

What do you think?

I personally don''t care for it because of the prongs. They just look huge and out of place to me. But I like the shank a lot! Sorry.

Don''t be sorry! Thanks for your honest answer! I actually like the prongs. In person they seem to *pop* the center stone. I''m very surprised, but I feel kind of taken by this design. I usually prefer something alot more delicate.

I don''t like the high polish of the top of the prongs, you surely want your diamond to be the center of this ring.

:) They can do whatever polish I choose. Are there any other designs that are sort of like this one? I would prefer a non-tension setting actually.

Cectra, I always think: how tinier and simple the setting, how gorgeous the diamond.
That''s why for ladies, I prefer the tiffany style setting (or some Leon Mege pieces).
So I won''t hijack your thread and wish you good luck with your purchase!

I also don''t care for the prongs. . . they''re very distracting to me. I automatically focus on them, not the stone.

If you dig that, go for it!!

Thank you everyone who posted! I''ll look more and maybe find the love of my life! :)

If anyone has an idea, please post!

Thanks!

It''s interesting, but a little bulky... I saw some others like it too. I think I should make me like some other prong designs :)
I had a Claude Thibaudeau ring before but felt like it covered too much of the diamond. It was a half bezel, his simple cathedral style. I like prongs this time. lol

Thanks for suggestion! You''re most kind today!

Try Niwaka (sp?), they have some beautiful modern fluid designs.
