it looks like a fantastic deal to me and this was my price range--though I personally was not looking at I''s, I can tell you that for .77 cts it is certainly an EXCELLENT value.

The Fluorescence will make the I look whiter. Have you seen this diamond? What type of certificate does this diamond have?

It''s a GIA cert from James Allen ($2180 with the PS discount)

Maybe regular guy will chime in or JulieN.
I use this https://www.pricescope.com/cutadviser.asp tool

but this is what it says when I plug the numbers

Holloway Cut Adviser
Selected: 62.3% depth, 55% table, 35° crown angle, 41° pavilion angle
The result is for a symmetrical diamond with a medium girdle and very good polish
HCA scores were adjusted Dec. 15, 2001 and Feb. 6, 2003.

Factor Grade
Light Return Very Good
Fire Very Good
Scintillation Very Good
Spread
or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 2.3 - Very Good - Worth buying if the price is right

Yea, I was just looking around some more. I have been trying to stay away because I have been second guessing myself alot recently on my own purchase, wishing I had moved up to .70ct. But I think this is a very nice diamond, but there are others that would be very nice as well. The one I would like to get would be a certain G VS2 that has VG symmetry but otherwise I expect would give some incredible fire. Its a bit smaller than yours a .70cts and is a little deeper--and more expensive. But anyway, I think your current selection looks nice, but no reason to quite looking yet.

Many of us rely on this.

But, a couple of things...

1) the HCA author says an ostensible revision is likely to kick up the "goodness" quotient from 0 - 2 to 0 - 2.5 or so....bringing this one into the scope of "not to be kicked out yet."

1a) I still think that HCA gives you kosher A & kosher B. With Kosher A you have the old formula. With kosher B...maybe you are not as protected if one of your eyes is gouged out.

2) Read nearby threads about 35/41...seems like everybody has them tonight.

3) other options...why sweat it if you don't have to. Even if you like JA...you can use either HCA without modification, or search for AGS new 0, and ignore HCA, and come up with other options...as for example...

this one (at $2180 wire priced) , and this one, getting you AGS0...both of these Hs.

...just some other ideas.

Regards,

P.S. edited to add...also, on your option the medium blue is a feature. Many like but some do not. It will have the function as skippy says as maybe making it look a bit whiter than it is, maybe throw off some extra discount to it...also maybe light up blue on a disco floor. Just, fyi...
