I have attached the idealscope of this 1.01 I VS1 Oval. JA lists this as a premium cut. Here are the Sarin numbers:

8.1x5.42x3.17 mm L/W: 1.50, Crown: 38.4 deg, 16.3%; Pavillion: 34.0 deg, 31.6%; Table: 61%; Depth: 58.1%, Girdle: 10.2 %.

Any comments appreciated!

C''mon I know someone has some advice. Oh, and this lists for around $3500.

You been working on this project for awhile?

I can imagin your flying blind looking for help on this, ovals are tricky .

I wish I could see it in natural daylight in person.

remember you live in the real world and you will not have these widgets and gidgets on your wrist to show people what it looks like in an idealscope enviorment. But thanks for the picture all information helps.

a one carat should be at about 7 x 5 mm so this one by the numbers is spready, so Im not sure why the ideal scope picture looks like it does but , camera work is hard to get a good picture some times.

I was going to guess $2,900

A lil smaller...

Much better

I have a 24" wide screen and it looked huge :)

I think it looks ok. Has a little bit of the crushed ice look. 8 pavilion might give you a more organized look, but if you are looking for NO bowtie, then this is it.

I second that - you found one with actually no bowtie...I don't know if it's cause I don't see many ovals, but the idealscope looks very faint, and I'm not sure it's because there's something wrong with the image or the diamond.

Basically the dead spots, and the light, seem diffused evenly throughout (no bowtie), but I'm not sure whether this is strong light return on an oval or not...

Hopefully someone will jump in by evening =)

Welcome

Check carefully about the bow tie if you really want to try to avoid it, sometimes they can be more visible if the diamond is tilted and you may find a bow tie is there after all. Check with the vendor to make sure.

I agree that it will be crushed ice looking... that''s not a bad thing. Since the vendor is JA I''d go for it. See it in person, then if I liked it... I''d keep it. Nice spread.

It looks very pretty - I checked out the regular pic and it looks really good!!
