Hi Everyone,

I would love to get your feedback on the following diamond. I've attached pictures of the grading report, and of the stone itself, mounted in a ring. I'm wondering if the GIA report has a sarin report sticker attached to it at the bottom? Does it look eye-clean to you guys for an SI2? I think I can see inclusions in the picture, but the diamond is so sparkly that it looks like it wouldn't be too much of a big deal at normal viewing distances.

It scores 1.8 on the HCA, and it looks pretty good to me, so I would love any feedback that you could give me for this stone!

Thanks,
S

picture facing up... i think you can see some inclusions, but i bet it wouldn''t be obvious at normal viewing distance (making the stone eye-clean)

thoughts?

Hi KD,

It has good potential, who is selling it - is it a jeweller or private individual? Can you check with whoever has the diamond that it is indeed eyeclean to your standards?

another shot that shows more of the fire, and what appears to be a similar inclusion at a different angle

Lorelei,
Its a private seller. I''m still on a "looking for a used ring" kick.
Thanks for the quick reply!

I wouldn''t risk judging whether it is eyeclean or not by a photo, best to ask.

The stone (based on the cert) looks to have potential, however, the picture does not show enough details to be able to tell me enough about the inclusion(s).

I missed a part of your post earlier - LOL on the looking for a used ring kick! Same applies as before, get an independant appraisal to make sure the diamond checks out and no damage etc.

Hi folks,

Sorry to bump an old thread, but the seller managed to send me a couple more pictures. What do you think? Can you make out any obvious inclusions?

Possibly at 3 o''clock towards the centre I can see what could be a small dark inclusion. Otherwise the pics aren''t clear enough for me regrettably.

The one that Lorelei mentioned, and (if you rotated the ring so that the top prong is 12 o'clock) there is a streaky, feathery thing between the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock prongs, near the edge, but maybe it is lint? Also, maybe a feather under the table at 9 which runs vertically, which might be a feather, or not. Also, not sure if there's some girdle damage at 9? I can see it in both of the pictures. A common place for damage to occur, actually...

I see now the possible inclusion you mentioned Julie and also what might be chips on the girdle at 9 o'clock. I can see another possible chip or inclusion at 6.35.
