Hello! My BF and I are searching for a cushion cut e-ring. I saw a beautiful stone today with the following specs - can you offer your opinions?
Cushion Brilliant
Measurements: 7.62 x 6.38 x 4.08 mm
Weight: 1.51 carat
Proportions:
Depth: 63.9%
Table: 55%
Girdle: Thick to Extremely Thick, Faceted
Culet: None
Finish:
Polish: VG
Symmetry: G
Clarity: VS2
Color: G
Flourescence: None
Price quoted: $9,000
The stone is priced within our budget, and my BF told me that he likes the G/VS2 combo. I''d be willing to go to H and/or SI1 but he doesn''t seem to feel the need to do so. From the GIA cert, it appears that there are some feathers off to the left edge of the stone. Is this a concern? What exactly are feathers and when are they a problem? I know that cushions need to be seen rather than judged only on numbers, and this stone seemed fantastic.
What do you think?
