I found this really nice AGS0 .94 VS2 awesome looking diamond at Winks. Only bad part is it''s an L color......the video he has makes it look really nice, but I''m planning to put it into a white gold setting. The everything is right what I''m looking for cut, clarity, size, just color is off a bit. Does anyone have an L? Is it really THAT yellow? I just don''t want it to look dingy against white gold setting.......looking to purchase ASAP..

I went to "Jared" today and this lady tried to sell me a IGI certified .90 h i2 for $6,000.........I wanted to laugh at her but I held myself back.

Have you asked Wink''s honest opinion on it? He usually is very honest about these things. Or can you have it sent to a local appraiser for you first so you can check it out in person?

Ditto, I think Wink will give you his opinion on the color.
 
yes, I''ve emailed wink and waiting to get an answer back from him. He has a video of it posted in his profile that you can take a look at. To my eye, it looks nice and seems like the very strong blue florescence makes it a bit more white. What am I looking at paying to have it sent to a local appraiser.....any ideas???
 
I have an M Cut by Infinity and it is warm. It is set in a platinum pendant. For me it was worth it to get the size I wanted, plus a pendant isn't viewed like an ring. If I were you I'd get it and see for yourself if you can live with it. It's so hard for someone to tell you where the line is for "too yellow". But the stone you are looking at is almost a carat and a gorgeous cut with tons of sparkle for a price you won't find too often. VSB is desirable in the warmer colors. It can make a warm stone look a little whiter. And Wink has a good return policy. You also can get this now and upgrade at some later date.

I didn't bother with an appraisal with my stone. I trust Wink and AGS 100%. An appraiser will confirm that the stone is what the AGS report says. For me it wasn't worth spending the extra money.

Gorgeous stone on the video. It''s warm. But it''s a nice size for the price!
 
I just watched the video and the stone is beautiful. It''s beautifully cut! However, your computer isn''t going to show the "true" color. I would get it in and take a look at it to see if it''s too yellow for you. For me personally, it''s not too yellow (from what I see), but I like a little character to a stone. I also think a more vintage feeling setting looks great with a warmer stone.
 
Maybe my eyes are messed up, but there is another video that he has a smaller .74 and I can''t even see a difference in the color.

I have found that the color is most noticeable when you are comparing stones side by side, but that once they are set it is hard to see the difference between one and another. If you look at the link I posted there is a photo of a neck with the M pendant and my H pendant. No noticeable difference although if you put the stones side by side on white paper they''d surely look their color.
 
Wink will be honest with you, an L can be a great choice if you aren't looking for an icy white diamond, but more of a summer white which can glow even warmer in some lights! And a Cut by Infinity L could be splendid!
 
Anyone else own or have any pictures of a L color AGS0 light performance? I''m wondering if it will look strange on a setting with channel set stones? The band that I am leaning toward is HERE but I think she wants channel set. I like the look of the solitaire especially from Vatche.

I own a large L colour but it isn''t an AGS0, however I do wear it with a band of F to G colour melee and to be honest the diamonds look fine together, any difference to my eyes is extremely subtle in most lights.
 
Wink is one of the most honest vendors I know (I have purchased from him before) and if he says it will be lovely TRUST HIM! Good luck!

I wear my K with lighter melee bands and they look great together too.

I would echo what others have said and that is to ask Wink. One observation I would make however is that I suspect the strong blue fluor will certainly make it look much whiter than a normal L. I have an I colour with strong blue fluor that holds its own against a G colour and in some lights looks whiter. In some lights it appears slightly warmer. I''m currently having it set in a diamond halo in platinum.
 
Yea, I think I am going to take the plunge. It''s the size I''m looking for, the cut is amazing, and it''s within my budget, plus I''m beginning to see that it will have some character to it. I saw a J in the store today, and it just looked like it had a bit of an attitude to it

I hope you take the L! Worst case you return it. Best case you appreciate the color and LOVE the cut and size. Once you see this one in person you'll be able to compare it to what you've been shown at B&Ms. Please return with your thoughts.

Are you going to see it before you have it set??

yeah, I''m thinking I will order it Monday. I''ve got to scramble to find the right setting. I found one that fits my budget, on WF here but I''m starting to think I might want to overspend a bit and get this here She wants it to sit low, and from my eye they both will be able to. I know that the Vatche will take longer, (says 2-3 weeks) so I might just get the other one and have a local jeweler set it. any ideas?
 
I''ve actually got that WF setting and I am absolutely ga-ga over it. It sit low and the melee sparkle their little hearts out.
