Hi I am new here, I just wanted everyone's opinion about a diamond that I am considering.

Round Brilliant
Measurements: 7.08 - 7.16 x 4.42 mm
Carat Weight: 1.36 carat
Color Grade: E
Clarity Grade: VS1
Cut Grade: Excellent
Proportions:
Depth: 62.1%
Table: 59%
Crown Angle: 33.5°
Crown Height: 14.0%
Pavilion Angle: 41.8°
Pavilion Depth: 44.5%
Star length: 55%
Lower Half: 85%
Girdle: Thin to Medium, Faceted
Culet: None

Finish:
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None

I did the HCA and it rated as 6 Fair. I just learned about this forum and I've been reading on this forum which people don't consider that rating. The jeweler offered a good price of 13,700 for the diamond and the setting. Would you guys think this is a good deal? would you take it? or the HCA is too bad to even consider? Thanks for all your help in advance, all opinions are appreciated.

Ditto.

ditto.

thinking it may or may not leak significantly under the table - the lower halves are so long - could be even longer w/ gia rounding, we know they'll only be marginally steeper than the pavilions mains and so may not leak significantly w/ stereo vision...

it'll be stone with lots of splintery white light return at the expense of colour in some lighting environments

You can do a lot better. GIA Ex allows for a wide range of proportions and appearances. This is why tools like HCA/IS can help you pick well cut stones. What are your parameters/budget? If you are open to shopping online we can help you find one. If not then try to find one that is >2 on HCA and check it out with your eyes in different lighting environments (not just the jewelry store spotlighting where everything looks good). Also try to see some AGS0s to compare so you can make the most informed decision
