I reserved a diamond today from B2C and just wanted to get some second opinions on it. It seems like a good deal, but I am a little concerned about the very strong fluorescence. I don't mind the blues, but hope it is not one of the rarer cases that shows milky. I guess that is what their 30 day return policy is for. According to B2C's in house gemologist, it is eye clean.

Did you ask them specifically about the fluor?

If the return policy is good I think seeing it in person is the best idea. Fluor is cool. :) And according to GIA, less than 0.2% of all stones that exhibit fluor will show and milkiness / oiliness.

If the fluor is ok, do think this stone is a pretty good deal?

I remember when I was young in the 70s and a girl I knew got engaged to a wealthy guy and she got a 2 carat diamond - unheard of in the 70s - and I saw her at a get together for the girls and I remember looking at her ring thinking to myself 'wow that stone looks like milk' and never knew till I started reading pricescope that it must have had very strong fluorescence - so if the fluorescence affects the stone you will know it right away... Also I told this young girl I loved her stone! I just thought maybe she had never seen a good diamond like my mom's - the one with a black carbon (albeit small) in the table.. at least my mom's stone emit rainbows and beautiful color..
