I have a GIA xxx with 34 crown, 40.8 pavilion and 58% table with a 60% depth. Is this too shallow, and what do you think about the angles??? Also, there was no visible signs of leakage with idealscope. Thanks!
This stone is more in the steep/deep range with high crown and pavilion angles and would be more likely to be leaky than the first one posted. I like the first stone's angles much better!
I don't know how to get the picture of the idealscope image, but it doesnt look to have any white, if anything maybe some pink. I hope it is a good cut! I have done a lot of reading but still second guess myself.
Also, what would this type diamond excell in, fire, brightness, etc.???? would it perform in one area better than another?
Just to let you know, I actually have a GIA XXX diamond, 58% table, 34.0 crown angle, 40.8 pavilion angle, 60.1 depth. I love my diamond. It has incredible sparkle and often looks larger than it's carat size.
Vishke8, I don't know. I do know I looked at the stone with IS and there was no white at all. That I DO know. THere was a slightly lighter center under the table but slightly lighter
