My current stone size is .68. For my Birthday my FI told me as a present I could upgrade the size. Now my question is...Is there a noticeable difference between the size I have now and a 1ct stone?

Thanks

I think that your ring is lovely now, but you will definitely notice a difference if you upgrade to a carat.

Thanks I wasn''t sure. If anyone could show me pictures of the difference I would really appreciate it.

Yes, you will notice....easily

Yes, there will be a considerable difference. Why don''t you stop by a jeweler to look at stones in the carat range you''re thinking of? Pictures will not give you an accurate idea--this kind of thing you really need to see in person.

We are going Friday to the jeweler to upgrade. I just wanted to see a side by side comparison.

You will be able to tell a difference.

We could find photos of a 1 carat next to a .68 carat but they wouldn''t take setting style and finger size into consideration. Also, most of the photos here are very blown up on the computer screen.

Good luck with your hunt. Friday is only a couple of days!

What a lovely present! You''ll definitely notice a difference in size (and this thread might be helpful): be sure to check out some of the ideal cut stats so you can make the best possible choice!

Thanks for all the replies. I will post pics and info Friday(hopefully).

Yes, you will definitely notice a difference in size! I just upgraded from a .51 to a 1.19 and was amazed at how much of a difference it makes! Have fun looking at all those beauties!
