Hello,
I have been lurking for a while, reading posts. This board has been super helpful! So I''ve visited a few stores, just to get a sense of what the loose diamonds will look like in a setting, and I''ve decided that something around .75 ct with a super-ideal cut will look perfect, considering my gf has very slender hands/fingers. What do you all think of this one that I found on WF? I''m leaning towards just a classic solitaire setting. I visitied Tiffany''s, and a similar sized ring was $7100, though i cant remember what all of the specs were. It looked great, especially in the classic Tiffany setting, but i think I can get a better diamond elsewhere.
Can someone also comment on the settings from WF? I dont want the prongs to be too huge, or for the diamond to look like the setting is too big for the diamond (this has been common at other stores, but not Tiffany''s).
Thanks in advance for all of your help. I didnt mean to start another TIffany bashing thread, just that I went there and felt that the way their diamond looked in the setting was far superior to others I have seen in person, but the diamond was over-priced, in my opinion.
Here''s the diamond from WF...
