I''m down to two stones, I hope. Hoping for some feedback.

Looking to put it in a yellow gold WF Classic Tiffany.

loom,

The first thing that jumped out at me was that the IS for the G. Seems like it has a grey area on the table. Maybe an expert can chime in as to whether that is leakage?

I''ll post that one for convenience. I would therefore go for the H VS1.

Its strange because the G got an AGS Ideal for symmetry but that seems noticibly off to me... it would really bother me

anyone else notice that?

Now that you mention it, it''s really noticable in the aset:

I think that assymetry can sometimes be attributed to a slight tilt in the camera, i.e. the stone is not at a perfect 90 degree angle to the camera lens. Ask WF, they can tell you best. I would trust their answer.

cheers,

WF would have an answer.
The diamond may not be tilted.
The hearts images, when viewed with magnification, are distorted too.
The H looks better but still not really symmetric as fas as IS is concerned.
You look at size / shape of each black spot.
You may be able to do better.

The diamond was definitely tilted (I''ve seen this before). If it were really that off, it never would have gotten the brand name.

Agreed. I think it is tilted. Also the grey area has to do with the lighting and camera setup.

Hmmm.
I had reserved the G but it was a toss up between color or clarity (G or VS1). I had spoke with WF and they told me I had a nice set of earrings because of their similarity and that the SI1 was eye clean.

I''m going to assume for now that the symmetry issue is a tilted stone.
Anyone notice anything else or have a preference between the two?

Engineer buying a diamond for an engineer.... what a nightmare.

lol!

I''d love to help, but my puter has decided that it''s not letting me copy and paste links anymore. So I can''t see the stones.

However, if WF said they are that close, and the SI1 is eyeclean, I''d pick color over clarity.

Just an update,
I went with the G. Not much of a choice considering someone reserved the other one, shouldn''t have posted both links I guess.
A little nervous about not seeing before buying however. I guess I''ll know in about a week.
Thanks for all the feedback.

Aw, that happens. It''s not always someone on here though, lots of people all over the world shop there.

Seriously, I wouldn''t worry. You bought a beautiful stone, you''ll see.
