GIA REPORT

Hi Focus,

Welcome to PriceScope. The info you posted is not really enough info to give you a complere answer. Do you have the crown and pavillion angles or percentages? You can obtain this info from a Sarin report. Once you have the angles or percentages, you can plug them into the cut advisor (under "tools" at the top of the page). This will give you some indication as to whether to persue the stone. Actually seeing and comparing the stone to others will help a great deal. Have you actually viewed the stone?

Hope this helps, and happy hunting!

thanks icelady. Unfortunately this is all the information that bluenile gives and I wont be able to view it unless I ask them to ship it first then ship it back. It is one of the higer priced stones for that size at their site. I guess I was just wondering if this stone has potential with the information provided. And if generally speaking a very good cut can have excellent brilliance and sparkle as opposed to an ideal cut.

focus,

BN will send you a sarin if you ask. Call them and ask for more details, in particular a sarin, and post the results.

If I were you I would stick to the Ideal Make diamonds or Signature diamonds and compromise on color. I spoke to BN a dozen times and was told that there is a difference visually between Ideal and Very Good Cut.

You could easily get an G, H, or I color diamond and see no color what so ever and get a larger stone. I have an I color VS1 clarity .71 round diamond and paid $2291.00 for the stone and could not be happier. Call them, the reps are very helpful and get as much info as you can but take your time!

thanks. I spoke with bluenile and they are gonna email me the sarin report. He did say that this stone is at the highest end of the very good scale and there will be no visable difference if placed beside an ideal stone.

To answer your first question... A .65 stone w/ VS2 clarity should be QUITE eyeclean!
