Please take a moment and share your thoughts about this stone here.

I''m still learning but the price listed, noting the HCA score of .9 (assuming I entered that correctly) seems to suggest to me that this is less expensive than it should be or I''m missing something obvious. Maybe it''s just normal but based on my reading here I''m most interested in an excellent cut and wonder how this one fares overall.

I''ve been looking at smaller 2.4 to 2.5 carat stones, G and VS2 and would like to know any suggestions about what I ask or look for next if I consider this one further. I''m most interested I''m curious to know what "clouds are not shown" means on the certificate. Is this a great cut?

I''ve seen that this forum is great for help, thanks in advance for the replies.

The diamond looks promising, ask Idjewelry if they can provide an Idealscope image for the diamond if you are seriously interested.

I agree-this looks very promising. I would do as Lorelei says--.

The comment "clouds not shown" under the comments section of a lab report indicates that there are additional clusters of pinpoint size diamond crystals which are not indicated on the plotting report.

A cloud is simply a cluster of pinpoint size diamond crystals, the trick is that a cloud can be quite small or quite extensive and there is no way of knowing without seeing the diamond. Ask the vendor to provide you with some detailed clarity photographs showing both the primary inclusions as indicated on the plotting diagram and the location and extent of the clouds which are not indicated on the plotting diagram.

Here is a file photo from our web site showing a small cloud for your reference. A cloud of this size is of no consequence, but a more extensive cloud which covers a large portion of the body of the stone might be, clouds need to be considered on a case by case basis.

Thank you so much for the replies. I should have some more details after the images are taken and I''ll share what I find.
