On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate this diamond? EGL certified. How much should a diamond like this cost?

Difficult to say for sure as there is scope for a lot of problems in what appears to be a good set of proportions.
8.5/10 would be my guess, but it could be as good as 9.5/10, or as bad as 6/10. This stone is not an easy one.

It scores very well on the HCA and AGA, but as is recognised with some of the very low scoring HCA's; it's sligtly shallow crown and pavilion angles could be "too perfect", and end up being obstructed by your head position. Probably not an issue, but worth checking.

HCA also assumes perfect symmetry. I've seen some VG symmetry stones that were not very symmetrical at all and leaked quite a lot as a result.

The clarity grade of SI2 makes it quite likely to have some inclusions visible to the naked eye at close or even medium distance inspection - especially in stones over 1ct.

Then there's the question of how the colour and clarity grades would compare to a GIA graded stone? Is your stone really G SI2 on GIA's scale? Or perhaps it's closer to H I1?

Personally, before commiting to buy any EGL-cert stone unseen, I would want:
IS or ASET image.
Confirmation of eye clean at whatever distance makes you comfortable.
A reliable opinion of the stone's true colour and clarity.
A good returns policy in case it turns out not as expected.

If not all of the above, I'd walk away and find a GIA cert stone with triple Ex cut/polish/symm, table 55-57%, depth no greater than 61.8%, HCA score between 1-2 and > AGA < score of 1A or 1B.

I was told that the inclusions are white and small. When looking at an EGL stone, should you always go down on color, clarity and cut or is every diamond different. If all the numbers and inclusions match up when I see this diamond, is it worth purchasing?

What is that, a scetch drawing of the hearts and arrows? Wow.
UD is a good company, I had a great experience with them so at least you have a reputalbe eye looking at it for you.
Just make sure you state your expectations clearly up front so they can compare them to the stone. Then be sure to check the return policy if your expectations are not met you will know what recourse you have.

Ya a stone I was looking at the other day at a local vender had an UGL certificaiton like that one. Hmm... it seems UGL should have spent more money developing light performance certs rather than a mere picture of the diamonds design

I know what you mean. That can be perceived in a negative way, but for me that''s not a deal breaker. Was it for you? I am still waiting for IS images on the diamond and hope everything looks good. How does this diamond compare to let''s say an ACA or Sig Ideal from BN? Any thoughts??

Well no....that particular part of the cert was not a deal breaker. The diamond looked nice under those bright lights in the jewelry store but it lacked something to me. So I kept searching and found an ACA on WF for a little cheaper than the B&M stone(same color and clarity except graded by AGS). I have recently recieved the diamond and let me tell you this thing blows the EGL ideal plus out of the water x5. I am sure this is not the case with all EGL ideal plus....just have to find the right one and the IS image will hopefully help you make a more informed decision
