Hi all - I'm building an engagement ring for my girlfriend. Below is a picture of what I'm targeting. Folks on the forum have already pointed me to Distinctive Gems as the go to place for ovals. I wanted to solicit feedback on this stone from Jonathan at Distinctive Gems: https://www.distinctivegem.com/collections/opulence/products/elyque-oval-3-34ct-i-vs2-1149451. Also here is the lab report: https://agslab.com/ym-vdgr/diamonds/104108327001/home

My initial observations/concerns:
- It seems like a great value at 3.34 carats for $37K. Honestly I'm questioning why it's priced so low particularly given the quality
- I'm afraid it might be too big. My girlfriend has smaller hands/fingers (she's smaller than a size 6), and wondering if I would be better off with something in the 2.5 carat range instead
- I did raise this with Jonathan and he said the AGS Ideal Cuts require more depth to eliminate the bow tie effect. As such, even though the stone is 3.3 carats, it takes up less real estate on the finger. Would be good to understand how other feel/think about this
- It's bit longer than what I was hoping for. The picture below looks to have a L/W ratio of ~1.35 vs. 1.40 in the stone I received from Jonathan. It might be too small to matter but would like to get your input
