Opinion on Blue Nile 1.51 I SI2 -Seems like a Good Deal

I am getting engaged in about 6 weeks. This Blue Nile diamond has a flaw, an 'indented natural' but I don't know how significant it is. Would some of you experts kindly give me an opinion on the stone? It's a very good price, if by some amazing circumstance, it's also a pretty diamond. Thanks!

If you read the GIA report, under comments it says, "Clarity grade is based on clouds not shown." Meaning that for this diamond to get an SI1 clarity rating, and for the plot to not show another mark, the clouds must be pretty bad. That is why the stone seems like "a good deal" -- because it's probably incredibly cloudy. Blue Nile doesn't provide pictures of their diamonds (as I'm sure you know), so it's hard to get an idea of what they really look like.

ID Jewlery can call in Blue Nile stones to take pictures and give you feedback on the stone.

I would recommend having them do that. The clouds are probably terrible, but who knows, maybe you found a great deal. Worth a try.

that size diamond at that price i can almost guarantee will look dull and lifeless.

Yes, I wouldn't waste my time having someone call that one in. That notation and SI2 is not a good combination.
