Hi all,

May I have opinion of this unheated sapphire in terms of clarity and colour?what is the white inclusion at the corner of the stone?

This blue sapphire as suggested by the seller is it is eye clean, under 10x scope, it only has a colour zone, top corner inclusion and two outside inclusion which can be polished (But not advisable as it will result in it falling below 2 carats.

The photos aren’t very good, 3 are out of focus.
Its hard to judge the sapphire as the lighting and positioning isn’t helpful.
You want photos face on, as how you see it when it’s set. It needs to be held by gem tweezers and/or with a white background. You need photos outside in natural light as well as inside “ordinary” lights.
You need to be able to see if the sapphire has a window, that’s seeing through the centre of the gem to the other side (ie your skin if it’s set as a ring).
You need a white background to assess the zoning. Zoning is quite common with blue sapphires and normally the cutter tries to minimize the visual effect (when looking face on ie how you see it and admire it when set in a ring) but sometimes it’s not possible. The zoning can add interest or it can be distracting and annoying.
Photos of the side and back are only of use to check the gem for chips or surface reaching inclusions.
Colour is a major price driver. Some like very deep blue, others prefer pastel hues. Vivid blue and cornflower blue are the most expensive (popular) colours.
You really need to ask the vendor for additional photos (as above) and enquire as to the return policy. Reputable vendors normally allow you to return for full refund (excluding shipping costs and payment fees) which is important as often times you need to see the sapphire in person to be sure you love it.
The white mark might be lack of colour ie a section of colourless sapphire.
