I'm having a moment of frustration here... I just got notice that they're turning the power off for the ENTIRE TOWN I live in for 8 hours. It was supposed to be off 40 minutes ago, which is before I even heard about it. I mean seriously - the whole town for 8 hours? I put my freezer down to -30 and hope it gets that cold before it turns off. Gonna have to blow this popsicle stand and drive into the bigger city for the day, ugh. Not how I planned my day! Turn off my computer - and good think I thought to plug my phone in about 10 minutes ago, hopefully it will be charged before the power goes out. ::grumble::

in 1965 i stayed in our village for 1 month and there were no such thing as electricity back then...

Here in the US that happens all the time ACCIDENTALLY. Heck, we didn't have safe drinking water in Boston, MA when I went into labor this spring because of a ruptured water main. I'm impressed that the PRC govt told everyone in advance. Better than those blackouts in NYC.

Well I turned everything off and left for the day and they didn't turn it off - now, using chinalogic, sometime in the next week they'll just spring it on us SURPRISE! and wonder why we didn't realize they said the power would be off for a day.... some day... as yet to be determined @@ Maybe tomorrow. I really need to get to the store.
