I suddenly find that I''m one post away from 5000 posts, and about 2 weeks away from my 5 year anniversary on Pricescope!
What do these numbers mean?
Well...first of all...having made the observation, now I want to share it with the community.
Why?
-First, because it seems some kind of milestone.
-Second, because...milestone that it is, it IS experienced as a milestone because of the kind of community that this is, such that I want to share it. Maybe this is chicken and egg, but I think you maybe get the idea. Certainly, it is related to the kind of pull that this community has, that I have been around for as long as 5 years, anyway, and I really don''t post on any other boards to speak of.
- And where else could I post past 4 am, after having worked late on a project, and not feel TOO wacky for it. Besides, I find I want to share with somebody on the board, I think, about their inscription, and thought I''d better get this in, or my 5000th post will have expired already.
My presence has maybe been more heavy in the earlier part of those 5 years, maybe I''ve not been helping my friends so much as I used to, and certainly, I''ve never been as clinical as is really due from anyone who wishes to participate responsibly on this board...
But the hope is that my interest in staying here is not so accidental nor random, and not even completely habitual at to its source, such that what may be enriching is both current for me, and as well, for those who may come upon at least some of my more inspired posts.
With good wishes for all of the friends I''ve made here over the years...looking forward to being in touch with many of you in the future as well,
