So turns out the online stone I am interested in is actually owned by the jewelry store I am working with in their NY office and it will be here tomorrow after 2pm. YIPPEEEEE!! Can you believe it?

Oh, that is exciting! You just need to be prepared with some price comps printed off the internet so that you don't overpay for that stone!

It was listed on the internet for 14,237 and I printed the page before they pulled it. What do you think of the price?

I think that price is great for a stone that size and excellent cut! I will be gone during the day tomorrow but will check in tomorrow night to see what you think!!!

Are you keeping the setting you have the 1.3 in or turning it back in?

I havent thought that far in advance! I guess it will all depend on what stone I actually end up with and the cost involved. Was thinking of keeping it for a RHR . I cant decide what stone I would put in it though.I still havent heard back regarding the stone you suggested. I am anxiously awaiting the word on that one as well. Dont worry I will post here as soon as I see the stone. I was in no way expecting it would be here so soon.its good that I alreayu have an I diamond to compare it too. I want to see if they look the same in color.

All colors have a range, so you might be able to tell that one looks more tinted than the other, but maybe not in their lighting, I'd put a sapphire (of any color) in the other setting because that is a fine quality setting and I would want a durable stone, personally. I'll check in later!

Soooo... the stone is definitely whiter than the I color I currently have . I had a tripe x GIA h to compare it to and both myself and the salesgirl couldnt tell them apart. It faced up much whiter than my current stone and I am quite pleased with it. I was however shocked to see that their price was higher than the internet price I printed when I emailed them the stone. Apparently their secretary posted the wrong price on the internet and had I tried to buy the stone from BLue Nile where it was listed I would not have been able to buy it for the price listed because it was priced wrong but... they could sell it for 14,995 instead of the 15, 800 price they printed from the internet when they pulled the stone. Apparently the secretatry had listed the stone at their actual cost of 14,237. Talk about ridiculous.

That is great that the color appeared better! How long do you have to decide? The price is still good for that size stone.

Good news is that I planned ahead as you suggested and had printed off the price from BN and since it was their mistake they will match it. I have until Monday. The owner checked it out and declared it free from the milky effect that can be associated with fl stones.They werent able/ willing to pull the other two stones. I did see one other stone that scored excellent in all 4 areas and is 1.0 Its a vs2/g 1.33 but faces up like a 1.4 carat diamond and is priced at 12,300 if I remember correctly. She was going to see about that on Monday to see if it was one of theirs as its an online stone.I know they are sick of seeing me.It was a bit overwhelming . It was dark outside so I didnt see it outside. I will need to do so before purchase. You arent by any chance free Monday? lol We could go to Tiffanys too! I could really use another pair of eyes .
