LOL!
Tonight, I "accidentally" came across another PSer''s 2008 thread whereby I posted a reply which mentioned I had 1ct (each) bezelled earstuds. For the life of me, I can''t believe I actually forgot that!! Granted my memory is not great but I didn''t think it was so bad. But obviously it is!
NOW I remember I didn''t like this look so much on *me*. They didn''t sparkle that much. I guess partially it was because of the cut of the diamonds (which is why I sent them to BGD to be recut), but obviously the bezelled studs weren''t so great; otherwise I wouldn''t have completely forgotten I had the same exact diamonds bezelled and then taken out and reset into prong settings.
So I guess this now means that these 2 diamonds will be reset into a 3-stone setting wtih my 3ct stone, unless they still end up not matching exactly after the recut (which is always possible, given their quite different tables and sizes). If this is the case, I might still put them into very very thin and delicate halo''es, which may help them to sparkle more and which would help with the size too.
Thanks to everyone who has voted and posted your responses. I really appreciate all your input.
