Well I just returned from the appraiser that looked at the diamond that my Boyfriend and I picked out. Talk about the most beautiful diamond that I have EVER seen! It's a Superbcert I VS2 0.68 carats. I was worried so much about the color, hearing from others that I may have a little tint to it. I was so worried about it, that I visited other jeweler's yesterday just to compare the color of G,H,I diamonds. (That has a story in itself. The first jeweler had no idea about what I was talking about relating to diamond color.

Only saying that I could special order a diamond in. I ended up at Tiffany's, because I knew they had different color grades. I couldn't tell the difference between the 3 colors). So anyway, today I drove an hour to see my diamond, and it totally blew Tiffany's diamonds away!!!! It was the whitest most sparkly diamond that I have ever seen, without the help of fancy lights. It ever looked way bigger than the Tiffany's 0.73.

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised at how it turned out, and how beautiful the diamond is.

Sorry about the long post. I am just so excited about it!!!!

I forgot to add that the appraiser showed it to the other women working in the shop. He said they couldn't stop "Oohing" and "Aahing" over it.

congrats! enjoy and post some pics when you get a chance...

Longtimelurker sent me a message asking about what appraiser I used. Here's the info.

Originally, we tried to get in contact with someone in Seattle. However, she was booked until Feb. 4th and Superbcert didn't want to hold the stone in limbo for that long. Since I had a couple of days off we decided to go with John Vivian, and I made the trip to Lacey. Not bad, only one hour. He was extremely helpful, and went through all the steps with me. Even going so far as to show me how to use the loup etc. I am very satisfied with the service that I recieved.

He he... sounds interesting...
