I don''t think it''s silly to set them into such an intricate setting. I think that will be lovely to set your OEC''s into those setting. I also have a pair of OEC''s, just about the same size as yours. I set them into 8 prong setting from WF. I absolutely just love my earrings.

Great stones, and *magnificent* setting - I love the detail-work, and I think "just knowing" it''s there is a large part of the appeal of jewelry. Few people will ever hyperfocus on the swoopiness of prongs or the delicate sweep of gallery like the owner, but those ddetails are exactly what make the owners (and, you know, their fellow voyeurs on the internet) really, really happy.
