I have decided against the 3 stone ring that I posted about last week. The side diamonds that I have bought are too different in colour from the centre stone. They match each other well but there is a lot of difference between H, J and L/M. I may revisit this design at a later date with a sapphire or another coloured stone.

The smaller diamonds will now be set into 3 prong martini studs :)

Here are my new cads with the inspiration ring. The diamond is a 1.02 L/M OEC. The engraving will be added later. I decided on platinum.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have thought of a couple of changes I would like to make...

Your changes are good, but if I can be honest - that three stone was simply amazing. Get different sides and stick with it? Lower color diamonds shouldn't be hard to find, or gemstone sides. Sorry I'm biased, that three stone was one of my favorite rings I've seen in a while........ runs away. :saint:

I too love the 3 stone ring but it's on the shelf for the time being. This new setting is actually the first choice I settled on before considering the 3 stone. I'm of the mind that no ring (for me) is forever so I'm sure I will come back to that project at some point. David Klass is keeping the cads for if/when I do :)

It's a gorgeous ring design but potentially difficult to execute nicely. Can't wait to see the end result.
