I believe we had a thread like this on the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's "Messiah" once a few years ago. I thought that this video on the "Ode to Joy" from Beethoven's Ninth (9th) Symphony was worth sharing here, too. It just looks so joyfully done and so joyfully received!

Beautiful ! - thank you for posting this!

:appl:

Thank you for passing that on!

I always get goose bumps! This is the song that inspired me to learn the violin.

I have to admit that this video provided me with more than just music! The clip got me researching language, too. I didn't have a clue where the Placa de Sant Roc in Sabadell was, but I recognized that the print on my screen wasn't Spanish, so I looked it up. It's in Bellpuig, which is the third largest city in Catalonia, Spain. The people there, of course, speak Catalan. I found a really interesting website about the history of the Catalan language; where it is spoken; how it relates to the Valencian language; and samples of it. I am simply fascinated!

Deb, thanks so much for putting that up! :appl: It made my morning for sure. Beautiful. Amid all the gloomy news, it was such a gift to see something that made me glad to be human!
