A couple of months ago, I got an email from Lisa Elser with a new catalogue of gems. Perused through it and I found this amazing merelani mint specimen. Ordered it, got it, and did not fall in love with it. I told Lisa that I would be returning it but she was going to be in Tucson so I had to hold onto it for a week or so until she got back. Boy, am I glad that I didn't return it! I think I was drunk or on drugs when I first got the mint because I am totally head over heels in LOVE with it.
I had a setting that I had bought off ebay for an amazing price, so amazing that I had to go to three different jewelry places to confirm that the ring was set with real diamonds because it felt too good to be true. And that is how the mint and the ring came into fruition.
The mint is 1.82cts, measures 7.59x6.6mm and mined in Tanzania. Emeralds measure 4.74x3.63mm and the baguettes are 2.2x2.4x3.7mm.
Get ready for picture overload. And I mean overload.
The mint loose.
The setting from ebay.
