Now onto the setting. Who makes a good pave halo?

Hi everyone,

Well I am one step closer to getting everything completed now that I have my stone. What I need now is a setting. I know the kind of a setting that she wants (halo with larger u-shaped pave halo stones and similar but smaller stones on the shank) and one is available through a local jeweler, but having looked at their ring close up I am not sold on the quality (though I haven't discounted them either). In any case, the closest setting that I've found online is http://www.gabrielny.com/engaged/style/ER8267W44JJ except for the stones in the halo are set with u-shaped pave and are angled outward slightly rather than being flat, and the shank is a bit thinner in terms of the diameter thickness. What I would like to know is who to trust in terms of quality if I was to go the custom route. GOG, BGD, Steven Kirsch, Gabriel NY, someone else?

By the way if anyone knows of a setting similar to what I have described, please let me know as I haven't found one on the web yet.

And if I can get my hands on her phone to get a pic of the setting I will post it here.

By the way, I just realized that I may have used "pave" interchangeably with "prong set" . Please pardon the ignorance. I am not completely sure on what the difference is, but each stone in the halo was held by 4 prongs.

They have some new halo's that are really nice.

I would only use Leon if Perry (who works for him) sourced the stone. He damaged two of my friends outside stones and didn't tell them or own up to it.

Steven used to work with Leon, has great quality, has much better customer service then Leon and his pricing is cheaper than Victor's. He's in NY. Victor is in CA and he's got great customer service and quality as well.
