Just got the email and I feel err not so hopeful here it goes. I had 2 other diamonds looked at and here is the email.

Thank you for your patience while waiting for the ASET images of diamonds 1139102, 1333178, and 1127652. I have attached those images to this email. I also asked one of our gemologists to take a look at these diamonds and give us her expert opinion.

Our gemologist does not recommend diamond 1139102. While this diamond faces eye clean; it is the darkest and has what she deemed a "lifeless" center.

Diamond 1333178 is the whitest of these three diamonds, and faces brighter than diamond 1139102. This diamond is eye clean; but the strong blue fluorescence causes visible cloudiness when viewing it under the loupe. If you care most about color and do not mind the fluorescence; this would be the diamond for you.

Diamond 1127652 has the warmest color tone of these options, but has the brightest light performance (as evident in the attached ASET image). This diamond is also perfectly eye clean. If light performance is your main priority; then we recommend you consider this diamond.

So will the fluorescence be visible to me? Will the diamond be cloudy? Anyone know if this is my best deal for under $2400? Thanks for all your help!

Funny, I understand what they are saying, but I still prefer the 1139102.
I love its pattern and its symmetry.
I don't think I would buy such a diamond in quest of perfect light return, but more for fire.
I don't mind it is darker (K color).
I think 1139102 has very slightly less leakage at the perimeter.
I love the bold 'arrows'.
1127652 is my second choice.

Slg47 I would like to be at 1ct. I dont care if its square or rectangle. Open to color.

Queenmum Would it be crazy to get a dead diamond? Isnt that the one thing to stay away from?

Yes it is for an engagement ring.
So the dead one would be dark when not in spotlight? Or would it act more like an old cushion cut like gog august vintage?

Yes, probably.
I just loved the pattern so much! :((
I thought it would have an antique look.
I don't like the last one linked by slg47, looks like crushed ice.
It sounds like you receive a great service at JA!

ok is she OK with K color? I like the K color one recommended by JA the best out of the ones you have chosen, but you want to make sure that is OK with her.

Yeah K color is ok but it cant look brown or too dark.
Ok so let me get all of this straight.
The 1.18 K VVS2 will be dark in regular light ???yes???
The 1.12 K VS1 is ok but not great

Please I need to be told directly
Thanks

We didn't see the diamonds, we can only suppose.
I think the 1.12c is great, I feel even more attracted to the other, but it is probably a personal matter.
I don't know if what I called the 'arrows' will always look dark or if they will spit fire...
In matter of light return, I'm sure the gemologist at JA is right.

yeah, ditto QueenMum, it is hard to make a really good judgement just based on picture. Of the three you posted, I like the one the JA gemologist recommended if you're ok with K color (which it seems like you are).

I like the 1.12 K the best if GF is ok with the color.
