But everybody here has such helpful answers, I cannot help myself! The issue at hand- I really want to purchase a ring from WF or JA or another Pricescope vendor. However, I am being pulled in by the Blue Nile tractor beam because they offer 0% financing for 6 months! Paying off a diamond over that time frame is much more easily done than carrying $1000''s on my credit card and piling up finance charges!

So on with my questions:

Is this

Getting too deep?

Or should I just suck it up and deal with the vendors that produce consistant quality? Right now my leading candidates are

and

Thank you in advance for your opinions!

All three diamonds look good, the WF and JA are likely more tightly cut but BN numbers are fine. WF and JA, though, provide images - and you can get a PS discount.

Not my business, and you didn't ask, but financing diamonds is generally a bad idea - unless you've got the cash on hand and you just want to build credit, perhaps. Relying on monthly payments to fund a luxury item... not a good plan. What happens, for example, if you pass your return period and the engagement doesn't last? Something happens to the ring that your insurance doesn't cover, and you need to get another one on top of making these payments? Lose your job? They're never forgiving policies, and they're always to their benefit - not yours.

WF and JA also have upgrade policies, if that's something you and your intended might be interested in down the line.

All looks good.

Ditto yssie. Especially about the financing part and the upgrade part. If you can't afford it now, go with a smaller, lower color, WF or JA, stone and upgrade once your financial situation is better. Just note the different amount required to upgrade for each vendor is different.

Err.. Lorelie, you forgot to post a reply?

Getting too deep? Its a hair deeper than I prefer also an Idealscope image would be good to check it out but that won''t be forthcoming from BN. Could be a good diamond though.

http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-2192300.htm# Looks good but the hearts image I think might be slightly tilted, ask WF about that and a couple of the arrow shafts look shorter than others in the images, ask WF about that too.
