Noob... Propose by Xmas... Too Late? Help Please!

Hello everyone, I have been a lurker for a few months now and finally decided to register. I need your help, as I cannot decide... been trying for 3 months. I am a total Newbie when it comes to all this, and the past few months a very dizzing and everything begins to look the same at this point.

1.) I would like to propose over the Christmas Holiday, is it too late for me to get the ring seated and delivered?

2.) I want to place the Diamond in a Temporary "generic" setting so my GF and I can go back after the Proposal and select the real ring

3.) My Budget is $9,000 for the Diamond and Setting
- Round or Princess Cut
- "SI2" clarity and above
- "I" color and above
- "Very Good" cut or above
- GIA certified preferred (not mandatory)
- I would like it to be over 1ct.

Need you to decide whether your gf likes a round or princess, most people has definite preference for one or the other.

Budget is doable.

She originaly thought she wanted a Princess Cut, but I took her to a B&M and she agreed that the Round cut had more Sparkle. Fire and Sparkle are among the top criteria for this so that would be a round then right?

I would think you still have time to get a ring delivered for Christmas, especially since you aren''t getting a custom setting right now.

You need to act immediately to get a ring done for the Holidays, let the vendor know your time constraints but act ASAP.
