Barbie the Punk (I keep accidentally doing this) is next, I chose a pre loved setting from Ivy and Rose because I like 1980s style. Something a bit different.
She will return and I can show her off properly.

I call it a deep Pink Sapphire.
The saying goes “it depends on who you ask, the seller says Ruby, the buyer says sapphire”.
In some cultures any pink sapphire is still referred to as a Ruby, the GIA and AGL say “predominately red toned = ruby”. But even that is subjective and as my photos show, the colour can look more pink or more red depending on the light and time of day.
For me anyway, I say pink sapphire.

Wow, Barbie is beautiful! I’m reluctant to call anything that’s not RED a ruby, but she is definitely one hell of a sapphire! So, are you going to find her a new home then after she’s set? I don’t know the story of why your parting with your gems, but I have a feeling you’ll have trouble parting with this beauty.

Barbie is a 6.5mm round, 1.28 carats. Not huge but packs a lot of vividness.
No, I’m keeping her, she is just visiting the US to get set by Ivy & Rose and then she comes back home.
