Wedding Newly & Soon-to-be-weds! Is 1 week enough?

If I book flights to my mom''s and then to my hometown for WP1 and WP2 so as to arrive 1 week before each set of nuptials, will that give me enough time to take care of last minute details? How far in advance does / did the crazy-crunchtime begin for you?

I got married OOT. I went on a wednesday, the wedding was on that saturday and we left that monday (I didn''t to rush to the airport the day after). It was plenty of time but I am pretty laid back.
