Hi there,

Just thought id introduce myself!
I had been scanning these forums for a little while and finally managed the guts to join up and hopefully get some useful help, feedback and support from all the great users here! I guess I would definately consider myself a LIW as I have been with my SO for almost 6 years, though we are still pretty young I love him more everyday!
I love knowing that I am not the only gal out there that has a bad case of LIWiti

Thanks a lot for the friendly welcome and asking my favourite question! I am pretty keen for a channel set setting with baguette (not eternity though) and .90 to 1.3 princess as centre stone with colour between E-I and clarity under VS1 good cut would do too! I would love to hear other LIW's dream rings or if anyone else is thinking about a channel set ring with baguettes as I have only seen a couple but I think they are amazing!!!!

Welcome! Your ring sounds gorgeous! If you are looking at princess cuts, I would definitely check out Whiteflash's Princess ACA cut and Brian Gavin's Signature Princesses. Both are cut to give the best light performance so that your diamond will shine above everyone elses! Also, just a tip, if you lower your clarity to an eye-clean SI1 or SI2, you could either save some money or be able to get a larger diamond with the same budget. Some people prefer to know their diamond is clean and if that is you, then go for the higher clarity! Just wanted to give you a few tips to get you the best diamond.

Thanks mayflowers for the great advice! Me and SO talk about it but he's quite good at keeping things close to his chest! He managed to fly in friends from interstate for my 21st birthday this year without a word or a smug smile! He has done a little research and weve done the window shopping thing and he knows what setting style and centre cut stone I want but I am not expecting it anytime soon! We are both still in university and I have a long degree to finish but I hope sometime next year! What about you Gemma.in.waiting? Is anyone expecting their ring really soon? Would love to hear upcoming proposal stories? Or of they think they're being surprised?!

SO made us wait to even talk about engagement until he was done with his masters. I'm still in school, too, but I should be done within a year. I'm not sure how the proposal will happen, but I think I have an idea of when it may happen. I think it's going to be hard for him to surprise me, though. He is ordering my ring online, and I told him that he has to show it to me when it comes. Ya know, so I can do quality control (plus, I'm dying to finally see it! ) He hates the fact that I've picked it out, like somehow that's going to ruin that whole proposal for me...riiight.
