Newbie needs assistance with diamond - I asked a jeweler to

I asked a jeweler to find me a diamond that has
1. excellent polish - **What is visual difference between an Exc Polish vs. a VG polish or worse?

2. very sparkly

3. no flouresence

4. E color - i am color sensitive

5. round stone 1 carat

Did I do a good job in stating these specifications? I want an amazing diamond since it is small (1 carat) on a size 6.5 finger.
I want it to sparkle with minimal movement.

Any and all help is very very appreciated!

1, no difference, none that you can tell without training and equipment.

4, did you check that out with well cut GIA/AGS graded stones with regards to your color sensitivity?

what about clarity-ask for eye clean to your requirements

also the most important factor is cut quality, so ask for GIA Ex or AGS0, GIA Ex allows for a wider range of proportions though (see this article)

Keep in mind that an ideal cut lower color will face up whiter than a poorly cut lower color. When you determined your color sensitivity- were you viewing ideal cut stones of different colors, or were the cut grades varying.. That will make a big difference in how much color you see.

Do you think that F will look just as whiteas a D or E? (same cut for example)

I have 2500k for set and $3-4200k for diamond, settling on 1 carat or .80 ish+

That is a very small budget for the size and color you want IF you want a well cut stone with a reputable cert (i.e. GIA/AGS). A .80ct E VS2 with a good cert and cut is in the range of $5000 and a 1 ct E color stone costs more like $8000. You will need to adjust your expectations or your budget. Prices will me more if bought at a B&M store rather than online.

what type of setting do you want? a simple solitaire setting will be much less $$ so you would have more for the center stone
