Hello!
I''m a newbie here although I have been here to read and lurk around many many times before..
I would like to know if GSL is a good enough certification.
I have already done a search here and there wasn''t much info or talk about it.
I did a google search and that didn''t show much either.
I have been looking at some engagement rings online and found this dealer that has awesome prices ( From newyork diamond dealers of some sort.. ).. even suspicious at times.
I have contacted him to ask if the diamonds are natural and other stuff.
and he told me that their diamonds are GSL certified.
I''ve heard of GIA.. but not GSL.. is this a reputable place?
I was also looking at helzberg''s radiant star collection and after many nights of research, i decided against it.
and they had another certification that I have never heard of..
I''m so confused and overwhelmed by this process..
Am I ever going to find a decent diamond?

Would they perhaps mean "AGSL"? If so, it''s as good as (if not better than) GIA in terms of reliability and rigour in grading colourless stones.

GSL I have never heard of.

No.. it just says GSL-Gem scientific laboratory INC based out of newyork it looks like.
I had him send me a copy of the certificate via email and it looks like it has a lot of the information on it.
But if it''s never heard of.. what good is a certificate...

You could upload it to PS.

It's a legit, smaller lab, according to David Atlas.

The first hit on Google for gem scientific laboratory links to a thread on PS.
