Hi all -

Recently learned of this site and have been absorbing the wealth of information...but am also feeling overwhelmed.

Based on what my gf likes, I've selected a half bezel setting from WF. I'm hoping to try to get the most bang for my buck on the diamond - cut is of utmost importance, somewhat negotiable on color and clarity. Total budget for the diamond alone is ~$3750.

Here's a couple diamonds I've been thinking of, thoughts or other recommendations?

All really nice! I'd get the F- it's not much more.

I agree.
Call to see if the F stone is eye clean.

Thritto! :wink2:

Another vote for the F if it is eyeclean to your specifications :))

I called about the F stone, it's eye clean from the side, but not from above - there is a cloud on the crown.

I've narrowed it down between the F and the H, but am leaning more towards the F even though it's not eye clean. Figured I'd rather sacrifice on clarity than color. Neither myself nor my gf are real "eagle eyes" when we've looked at diamonds at b&m stores so I'm not convinced we'll even be able to find it. Given their excellent return policy, I can always send it back if it really bothers "us" (I'll likely be the more picky one...)

Final thoughts before I pull the trigger?

Thanks,
jmb

Yes, buy both and return one.
That's what I did when I couldn't decide between two stones.

There is nothing like having the stones in front of you for a few days.

I agree- there's nothing like seeing them both in person.

Good suggestion, but not really an option for me. Ended up going with the H as I knew I would always be looking for the imperfections in the F stone. Probably a mental thing, but oh well.

Thanks for the help and the wealth of knowledge on this site.

cheers,
