Hi guys,

I want to get something simple. I was looking through Ritani and Zoara. I wanted to get something 0.2c diamond with 14k white gold. And I have been finding constantly about $500-$600 in total. However, I have also seen on eBay selling it for like $100... I am wondering for such a small carat diamond, does the quality that Ritani and Zoara offer really matter compared to the eBay vendors?
I have included one of the links. PLEASE HELP!!! :)

Have you compared the quality of diamonds each vendor carries? The eBay vendor you linked uses J/K I1/I2 stones.

At the same quality, it's about $250-$300 on those webiste, not including pendant, which is about another $200-$300...

I am so confused... :/

Try this:

http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-own-diamond-ring?first_step=diamond&forceStep=DIAMONDS_STEP&track=NavEngStartWithDia#diamonds_forceStep=DIAMONDS_STEP|builder=BYOR|pid=LD03159850

with this:

The chain is 18", which I prefer. A 16" chain will sit very high, especially depending on the size of her neck. For my money, I think 18" is a nice amount of drop for a chain. It's still short, but won't run the risk of looking like a choker style. I also think that style of setting is very elegant for smaller diamonds.

Cut is everything and counts even more in little stones! The one Andelain linked is a top quality diamond. I'd go for that first, and next I'd choose a brand like Ritani. I'd never pay for a terrible quality diamond like the one on ebay. I'd rather have a fake one than that!

Thanks everyone for the quick response! I really appreciated! But after comparing between Bluenile, Ritani, and Zoara, I feel like Zoara offers the best bang for the buck. Ritani offers a little bit nicer diamond, but they would not allow 14k white gold pendant... which makes the price of the pendant even more expensive than the diamond...
I am thinking about getting a diamond like this,

With a pendant like this, which is approximately $200.

What do you guys think about this option?

Thanks! I am still wondering though, isn't it harder to see the quality when the diamond is small? Why is cut even more important for little stones? :O I am really sorry if I sound really ignorant, I am just starting up! ><
