I am interested to hear who is recommended on that NYC list. I struggled with finding an appraiser that met my needs in NYC. I ended up sending my diamond to Richard Sherwood and was very happy with the services I received.

I always use David Wolf from Just Appraisers.

He has a Sarin and Idealscope. He''s tough on color but I totally trust him.

The only downside is that he no longer carries insurance (at least he didn''t last summer), so unless something''s changed, he won''t accept stones from vendors.
