New Yin-Yang cut amethyst from Gary Braun

You've seen my earring charms made from amethyst cut by Gary Braun, and made by Julia Kay Taylor. I love them and wear them often. I asked Gary if he could cut a pendant stone with a similar color for me and here are it is!

Here's a couple of pictures. I am hoping it will be in my mailbox when I get home from a trip on Friday. I'll be in line after the holidays to get the pendant made by Julia (hopefully!)

Gary was able to get 11.2mm and 3.63 cts from the rough...cannot wait to play with it and take some pics this weekend. I love this cut, so different.

I also added a picture of the earrings for comparison.

I love that set! It's fantastic to see the pendant stone to match! Is it going to Julia as well?

Definitely going to Julia sometime after the first of the year to make a matching pendant...I'll be joining the line for projects. Hope she gets a nice break in there for some family time (or whatever!)

How did I ever miss those great earrings? I think it will look amazing as a pendant!

Amethyst is my birthstone, and I've always been "underwhelmed" by amethyst stuff at mall stores. But yours is such a vibrant purple--simply gorgeous! Congratulations!

AustenNut, BoulderGal and jstarfireb, thanks! Gary cuts a nice stone, I think. I love looking at the earring stones, they sparkle a lot for an amethyst.

I think if I could choose my own birthstone, this would be it. Mine is peridot and I'm not much impressed with it.
