Hi guys,
This is my first venture into finding a spessartite. This garnet came in the mail today from Linton.
Below are some shots of it in sunlight/shade.
I think the color is good.
I know it's included, but I think the inclusions are kind of interesting.
It was labeled as "mandarin" from Nambia.

I love it! I remember seeing it on there and thought the inclusions were really neat.

Wow, I love those inclusions. How cool.

What a cool and unusual stone. Lovely warm colour.

The inclusions almost look as if it has been painted, and those are the residual marks left by the strokes of the artist's paintbrush!

I think the inclusions are awesome too! They're patterned in a way that's symmetrical throughout, and that's what makes them attractive for me. Spess's are awesome - they just seem to have this glow about them. You picked a great stone - enjoy!

It's a warm and rich looking spessartite; I like the colour very much.

what a pretty stone. I want one too.

nicely done!

Very pretty stone.

I adore the inclusions. Are they eye visible? That is, will you get to enjoy those if you set it in a ring?

Beautiful! I love spess! I think the inclusions add to its uniqueness. But, as long as the color is pretty, I don't mind inclusions. Do you plan to put it in a ring or pendant?

Hey everyone!
Thanks for the comments.
I'm happy with the stone and can't wait to decide what to do with it.

I'm thinking a yellow gold ring...though I was toying with the idea of rose gold.
I've been looking at rings by ADZIA.

Would love to get their eight prong setting, or maybe bezel set it in one of their swirly bands.

I like solitaires without a lot of bling on them. I want the colored gemstone to be the center of attention!
