New OEC earrings to share!

I picked up the earrings today and I love them! They totally camoflague the fact that one hole is lower than the other and while they hang off of my lobe a bit, it looks deliberate rather than strange (the way the studs did). It's overcast here, so I can't get great photos, but here are a few to tide you over. The studs are 1.40 ctw H/I color VS2/SI1 clarity (according to my jeweler). The last photo is the vendors, since I can't seem to get a decent shot of the faceting.

Sarah, they aren't the masterpiece that yours will be, but I'm pretty happy with them! I feel like I can wear them with sweatpants or dressed up and my eye is no longer drawn to the lopsided studs, so I achieved my goal!

fridays_child, I modeled them closely after a pair that was in stock. Do you think that they look like crosses?? I kind of hope not. That was a concern I had when the jeweler and I sketched out the dimensions. We're Jewish and I said that the earrings couldn't look like crosses. DH saw them and said that they're lovely, so I've passed one test. The real test will be my Mom and sister. They won't be shy about telling me if they think they look like crosses...in which case, I'll be resetting them!

No, no, no! I don't think they look like religious crosses at all!!! They have that X motif you see sometimes in old designs (although I guess it's more of a plus sign ). I think there is a word for it, but "square cross" is the only thing I could think of at the time. I will look it up, there has to be a word for a flower shaped X. Anyway, please don't reset them, they are lovely and perfect!

I couldn't agree with this statement more. Wearing beautiful jewellery reminds me to take pleasure in my life, even when things are difficult. During an ordinary day, it gives me so much pleasure to see my ring on my finger, or my necklace in a mirror, etc. It makes the day better.

Clovers, yes! That's what they remind me of too! And four-leaf clovers are good luck!

So beautiful, yenny!!! A great compliment to your ring! I sort of collect cross pendants (in a small way!) and those earrings absolutely did not bring a cross to mind whatsoever! So I think you are very safe!
